Monthly Club Meetings
Monthly meetings are normally held the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 8:00pm. Meeting announcements will be sent out to subscribers of our mailing list via email a week before the meeting and we let people know on this website.
Our meetings are open to members and non-members alike. We invite everyone to join our club and help us support the bees and beekeepers of the Ozaukee County and surrounding area.
Meetings usually include: an update of club activities, announcements and reports on local events or activities, Q&A sessions, and guest speakers on bee related topics such as swarms, new beekeepers, disease prevention methods, general health of bees, types of hives, and preparing the colony for different seasons.
At Crossroads Presbyterian Church
At our Apiary
We maintain an apiary at the Kohl Farm Community Garden site. Open hive meetings are held in summer months, (May-September) on the last Wednesday of the month from 5:30 – 6:30pm.
Experienced beekeepers will open hives, show procedures, identify issues and demonstrate proper hive management.
For those of you who are new, please wear at least a head veil, blue jeans and some gloves. A full bee suit is better. There may be a few extra suits among members that you could borrow.
Members who don't have a place for their hives can keep them here, space permitting.
